PAY RANGE:  Between 13,598 and 19,344 Won per hour

AREA OF CONSIDERATION:  KN and third country citizen family members of US military and civilian employees of agency of United States whose duty station is in Korea, and KN external applicants who are not currently employed by USFK.

NOTE:  1. Newly hired non-appropriated fund employees of the USFK will be required to serve no less than one year in the position to which they are initially hired before they can voluntarily accept any other position unless approved by management. 2. Relocation Allowance will NOT be authorized.

MAJOR DUTIES: Performs a variety of manual labor tasks incidental to facilities maintenance or warehousing activities requiring application of knowledge and experience gained on previous similar assignments.  Work involves one or a combination of the following tasks:  Digs and grades ditches and trenches with pick and shovel; fills and levels holes in damaged roadways, mixing materials and leveling surface of patch with tamper; sets forms, mixes and pours concrete; operates power lawn mower, adjusting mechanisms, oiling and cleaning.  May occasionally operate jack hammer or power tools.  Loads and unloads trucks, box cars and other conveyances; moves, packs, unpacks, sorts, segregates, arranges, stacks, piles or relocates a large variety of supply items.  Performs other duties as assigned.

주 업무:  과거 경험이나 지식을 바탕으로 하여 다양한 업무를 수행하여야 합니다.  수행 하여야 할 임무는 다음과 같습니다.  간단한 삽 등으로 도랑이나 하수도를 청소해야 합니다.  파손된 도로를 보수하거나 시멘트로 공사를 하여야 합니다.  잔디를 깍기도 하고 간혹 전동장치를 이용하여 임무를 수행할 수도 있습니다.  창고 등에서 물건을 차량에서 내리거나 실어야 하며 하차된 물품을 일정한 장소로 이동시켜 쌓아야 합니다.  기타 다른 주어진 임무를 수행할 수 있습니다.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work requires continuous standing, walking and stooping. Lifts, carries and places in position, various objects ranging from light to heavy in weight. May work inside and outside under all weather conditions but outside work is not normally performed during inclement weather conditions. Frequently performs work characteristic of a heavy laborer. Must wear OSHA (Occupational Safety Hazard Administration) required safety equipment, as necessitated by the type of work being performed.

작업조건:  업무는 주로 지속적으로 서 있는 상태에서 이루어지며 다양한 무게의 물건을 나르는 일을 수행하는 일입니다.  일은 실내에서나 실외에서 모두 수행이 되어져야 하나 기상상태가 고르지 않을 경우에는 야외업무는 제한적으로 수행될 것입니다.  때때로 중노동에 가까운 일을 수행하게 될 수도 있으며 또한 수행하는 업무에 따라 OSHA 라는 안전장비를 착용해야 합니다.
