PAY RANGE:  Between 16,545 Won and 23,700 Won per hour

NOTE:  1. This position has been designated as KN EMERGENCY-ESSENTIAL (MISSION ESSENTIAL).  KN EE (ME) Position Agreement Form (USFK Form 200EK) must be signed prior to appointment of the selectee for this position.  2. Relocation Allowance will NOT be authorized for the selectee from outside the commuting area.

MAJOR DUTIES:  Serves as a journeyman level mechanic in the Heavy Equipment Division, responsible for performing field level and below depot sustainment maintenance and the Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) on wheeled and track military tactical vehicles. Performs progressively more complex and independent work as knowledge and skill level increases. May be assigned as a member of a Maintenance Support Team (MST) performing duties away from the assigned work area, usually in a Temporary Duty (TDY) status. Equipment supported includes; tactical wheeled vehicles (all categories; light, medium and heavy), construction equipment, materiel handling equipment, combat vehicles (excluding turret systems), and marine machinery. Systems include but not limited to all versions of the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), Stryker, Armored Security Vehicles (ASV), Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET), Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT), Palletized Load System (PLS), Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), Highly Mobile Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), trailers, forklifts, cranes, Rough Terrain Container Handler (RTCH), graters, dozers, Armored Combat Earth-mover (ACE), Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV), M1 Abrahams, M2 Bradley, M109 Paladin, M992 Field Artillery Ammunition Support Vehicle (FAASV), and M88 Recovery Vehicle. Applies authorized Modification Work Orders and ensures compliance with applicable Safety of Use Messages (SOUM) and Ground Precautionary Messages (GPM). Performs functional tests to identify faults, troubleshoot and ensure equipment operates properly once faults have been corrected. Utilizes specialized Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to perform assigned work. Utilizes printed Technical Manuals (TMs), Electronic TMs (ETM), and Interactive ETMs (IETMs) in the performance of assigned tasks. Performs other duties as assigned.

주업무:  중장비 부서내 일반 수준의 정비공 역할을 하면서 바퀴 및 궤도 군전술차량에 대한 야전급 및 정비창 유지급 이하 그리고 저장보급관리품목 정비수행에 대한 책임이 있습니다. 지식과 기술 수준의 확대에 따라 점점 더 복합적이고 독자적인 작업을 수행합니다. 배정된 작업구역으로부터 떨어진 곳에서 정비지원팀의 구성원으로 배정을 받게 될 수 있고, 출장근무 상태에서 작업을 하기도 합니다. 다음의 지원장비가 포함됩니다; 전술 바퀴 차량 (모든 범주; 경, 중 및 대), 건설장비, 자재 취급 장비, 전투 차량 (회전 포탑 시스템 제외) 및 해양 기계. 제한 없는 지뢰 매복 방지 차량의 모든 범주, 스트라이커, 보안 무장 차량, 대형 장비 수송 차량, 기동성 대형 전술 트럭, 팔레트 적재 시스템, 중형 전술 차량 기종, 고성능 이동 다목적 전술 차량, 트레일러, 지게차, 크레인, 험지 컨테이너 취급 차량, 강판, 불도저, 기갑 전투 차량, 돌파 차량, M1 에이브람, M2 브레들리, M109 팔라딘 자주포, M992 야전 포대 탄약 지원 차량, 및 M88 복구 차량이 포함됩니다. 승인된 개조작업 주문요청서를 적용하며 사용안전 메시지 및 지상예방 메시지와 응용하여 적합여부를 확인합니다. 결함을 판별하고 고장수리를 위해 기능검사를 수행하며 결함수정을 한 후 장비작동이 적절한 지 확인을 합니다. 특화된 검사, 측정 및 진단 장비를 사용하여 배정된 작업을 수행합니다. 배정된 작업수행 범위에서 출력된 기술교본, 전자 기술교본 및 교류형 전자 기술교본을 활용합니다. 기타 부여된 업무를 수행합니다.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Normally works indoors in a well lit, climate controlled environment. Works for long periods on hard surfaces, routinely walks on uneven surfaces. May work outside and be subjected to extreme heat or cold when mission dictates. Routinely exposed to noise levels exceeding 85 decibels. Other work hazards include; ergonomic, chemical, physical hazards; cuts, bruises, shock, burns, mashed fingers, etc. Work requires the use of Proper Protective Equipment (PPE); safety shoes, glasses, goggles, gloves, hearing protection, etc. Work requires moderate to arduous physical effort.

작업조건:  일반적으로 작업은 빛이 밝고 기후 통제된 상태하에서 내부 작업을 합니다. 작업은 단단한 표면에서 장기간 작업을 하며, 보편적으로 면이 고르지 못한 곳을 걷기도 합니다. 임무 명령시 외부에서 작업을 할 수도 있으며 폭염 혹은 혹한 환경에서 짧은 기간 작업을 할 수 있습니다. 일반적으로 85데시벨을 초과하는 소음에 노출 됩니다. 그 외 다음과 같은 업무상 위험을 포함 합니다; 인간공학, 화학적, 물리적 위험요소; 상처, 타박상, 충격, 화상, 손가락 부상 등. 작업은 적절한 개인 보호 장비의 사용을 요구 합니다; 안전화, 안경, 고글, 장갑, 귀마개 등. 작업은 적당한 육체적 노력이 요구 됩니다.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

 

EXPERIENCE:  One year of general experience plus one year of specialized experience.
경력:  1년 이상의 일반경력과 1년 이상의 전문경력이 필요합니다.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:  Actual work experience as a trainee, helper or other work related to the trade or craft for which being considered.
일반경력:  상기의 직종 또는 그 유사한 분야에서 조수나 보조원으로 일한 실질적인 경력을 말합니다.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Experience at the "Junior" or higher level in the work related to trade or craft for which being considered.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:  1.  Graduation from technical high school in a field related to the job for which being considered, successful completion of a formal training course (at least 90 days duration) in a recognized trade school in the trade or craft of the job for which being considered, or possession of a valid license or certificate of competency issued by the ROKG attesting to proficiency as craftsman in the trade or craft of the job for which being considered may be substituted for 1 year of general experience required.  2.  Graduation from technical junior college in the field to the job for which being considered or possession of a license or certificate of competency issued by the ROKG attesting to proficiency as an industrial engineer in the trade or craft of the job for which being considered may be substituted for 1 year of specialized experience required.
자격대체:  1.  기술고등학교에서 관련 직종의 학과를 졸업하였거나 공인 직업 훈련원에서 해당 직종 과정을 90일 이상 수료한 자, 또는 한국정부에서 발행한 해당 직종 자격증을 소지한 자는 필요한 경력 중에서 일반경력 1년을 대체합니다.  2.  전문대학에서 관련직종의 학과를 졸업하였거나 한국정부에서 발행한 해당 직종의 산업기사 자격증을 소지한 자는 전문경력 1년을 대체합니다.
