NOTE:  1. Target grade of this position is KWB-6.  If position is filled at the lower grade than target grade, the incumbents will be promoted to target grade non-competitively upon satisfactory completion of the job requirements, recommendation by the supervisor, and subject to meeting time-in-grade and qualification requirements. 2. This position has been designated as KN EMERGENCY-ESSENTIAL (MISSION ESSENTIAL). KN EE (ME) Position Agreement Form (USFK Form 200EK) must be signed prior to appointment of the selectee for this position. 3. Under the Yongsan Relocation Plan (YRP), individual moves of the selectee from Area II to other Areas will be authorized by the YRP moving services processes as stipulated in Civilian Human Resources Transformation Guidance. 4. Relocation allowance will be authorized for the selectee from Area II and IMCOM, Area I if applicable and all requirements in paragraph 8-13 (Relocation Allowance) of USFK regulation 690-1 are met. 5. Applicants who applied under the previous vacancy announcement, SA21025853TI, will be considered for this reannouncement, and do not need to reapply.

MAJOR DUTIES: 

KWB-6: Responsible for the operation of a sewage disposal plant on one shift; plant provides for complete sewage treatment consisting of pre-treatment, primary and secondary treatment, and separate sludge digestion. Operates valves, pumps, gates, comminutors, and other controls and equipment to move sewage through various stages of treatment; lubricates pumps and replaces filters; maintains basic records and/or logs of operation and maintenance data; collects samples of sewage to determine the amount of solids to be removed, biochemical oxygen demands, suspended and dissolved solids and dissolved oxygen demands.  From the results of the tests, increases or decreases chemical agents.  Trains lower graded personnel in plant operation; and observes all safety rules, regulations and procedures.  Performs other duties as assigned.

주업무:  당시 근무하는 조가 하수 처리장 운영에 대한 책임을 집니다.  처리장은 사전 처리, 일차와 이차 및 분리된 찌꺼기 정화 등으로 이루어진 완전한 하수 처리를 실시합니다.  하수를 각종 처리 단계에 거치게 하기 위하여 밸브, 펌프, 카미뉴터와 기타 조종장치 및 장비를 조작하고, 처리주기에서 규정된 단계에 하수표본을 수집하고 기본온도, 산 염기도 (ph), 잔여염소, 가라앉힐 수 있는 고체, 수소 이온, 용해된 산소, 적절한 안정도 및 알카리성 시험을 실시하고, 사용하는 폄프, 여과기, 시설에 대한 물리적, 화학적 처리 및 주유를 통제하기 위하여 염소처리 및 기타 화학처리 장비를 조정합니다.  영 및 정제원에 대한 기본적인 기록과 일지를 유지합니다.  처리장 운영에 있어서 하급요원을 교육하고, 모든 안전규칙, 규정 및 절차를 준수합니다.  기타 부여된 업무를 수행합니다.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Work is performed both inside and outside; subject to dampness, unpleasant odors and varied weather conditions for substantial amount of time; possible infection, asphyxiation and injury from contact with sewage and sewage gases and fumes, plant equipment and/or more severe injuries from falls into open tanks.

작업 조건:  작업은 옥내나 옥외에서 수행되고, 대부분의 시간 동안 습기, 불쾌한 냄새 및 각종 기후 조건 하에서 작업하며, 병에 감염되고 질식될 가능성이 있으며 하수와 하수가스 및 배기가스, 하수 처리장 장비를 접촉함으로써 부상을 입을 가능성이 있으며, 열린 탱크에 떨어져서 중상을 입을 가능성이 있습니다.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  자격요건:

 

EXPERIENCE: 경력:

 

KWB-4:  One year of general experience.

1년 이상의 일반경력이 필요합니다.

KWB-6:  One year of general experience plus one year of specialized experience.

1년 이상의 일반경력과 1년 이상의 전문경력이 필요합니다.

                                                      

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:  Actual work experience at a trainee, helper or other work related to the trade or craft for which being considered.

일반경력:  상기의 직종 또는 그 유사한 분야에서 조수나 보조원으로 일한 일반경력을 말합니다.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Experience at the "Junior" or higher level in the work related to trade or craft for which being considered.

전문경력:  상기의 직종 또는 그 유사한 분야에서 견습공 또는 숙련공으로 일한 전문경력을 말합니다.

 

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:  1. Graduation from technical high school in the field, successful completion of a formal training course (at least 90 days duration) or possession of a valid license or certificate of competency issued by the ROKG may be substituted for required one year of general experience.  2. Graduation from technical junior college in the field or possession of an industrial engineer (산업기사) license of competency issued by the ROKG may be substituted for required one year of general and one year of specialized experience.

자격대체:  1.  기술고등학교에서 관련 직종의 학과를 졸업하였거나 공인 직업 훈련원에서 해당 직종 과정을 90일 이상 수료한 자 및 한국정부에서 발행한 해당 직종 자격증을 소지한 자는 필요한 경력 중에서 일반경력 1년을 대체합니다.  2.  전문대학에서 관련직종의 학과를 졸업하였거나 한국정부에서 발행한 해당 직종의 산업기사 자격증을 소지한 자는 일반경력 1년과 전문경력 1년을 대체합니다.
