PAY RANGE:
KGS-7: Between 21,678 Won and 31,287 Won
KGS-8: Between 23,744 Won and 34,341 Won

NOTE: 1. This position has been designated as KN EMERGENCY-ESSENTIAL (MISSION ESSENTIAL). KN EE (ME) Position Agreement Form (USFK Form 200EK) must be signed prior to appointment of the selectee for this position. 2. Relocation allowance will not be authorized for the selectee from outside the commuting area. 3. Under the Yongsan Relocation Plan (YRP), individual moves of the selectee from Area II to other Areas will be authorized by the YRP moving services processes as stipulated in Civilian Human Resources Transformation Guidance.
MAJOR DUTIES:
KGS-8: Serves as a production controller, performing more routine and less complex phases of work involved in preliminary and immediate production control functions to include advanced planning of workload on repair of unserviceable depot stocks, investigation and analysis of work requirements in relation to production capacity, compiling estimates of overall annual budget requirements for machines, man-hours and materials, and scheduling and releasing jobs into the repair shops. Assists or participates in performing preliminary production control functions. Receives requests for repair of unserviceable depot stocks. Assists in investigating and analyzing work requirements in relation to production capacity. Compiles estimates of overall requirements for materials, machines and man-hours by coordinating with supervisory personnel in various repair shops and other branches to obtain required data for accomplishing repairs required. Recommends priorities in relation to repair, shop capabilities, availability of skilled personnel, equipment, production quotas, and experience data. Programs, coordinates and monitors field level maintenance and production activities for assigned APS-4 equipment and material. The range and depth of the maintenance effort includes routine maintenance TM-10/-20 technical inspections, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, adjusting and calibrations, annual services and preservation, which are included as part of cyclic maintenance, various exercises as required by vehicle type, and the application of Modification Work Orders (MWOs). Coordinates, programs, initiates, and monitors equipment evacuated for sustainment level maintenance, which consists of specialized repairs and services referred to other directorates for weapons repair, electronics/communications repair and chemical agent resistant coating (CARC) painting. Assists in preparing maintenance workload and budget forecasts. Reviews maintenance activity and readiness reports and assists in compiling staff studies and evaluating operating procedures to identify problem areas and to develop and/or direct corrective measures. Reports maintenance problems with appropriate action recommendations to the primary maintenance staff and/or command. Recommend resolution to technical problems associated with maintenance requirements, methods, procedures and training. Suggests changes to local technical publications, maintenance directives, and Standard Operating Procedures and maintains a library of technical manuals and supply bulletins. Reviews and interprets maintenance production directives, updates, and guidance and ensures compliance. Uses Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS) queries to control maintenance data and validate automated information. Determines the effectiveness of assigned maintenance management information systems to meet mission requirements. Assists in planning and implementing special and one-time maintenance efforts. Maintains The Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) records and documentation for over 10,000 pieces of equipment. Participate in Lean and Six Sigma (LSS) activities including Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) and Production and Preparations (2P) events. Assists or participates in performing immediate production control functions. Schedules work in a balanced manner to preclude production delays and maintain coordinated and uninterrupted operations. Prepares and releases repair directives to several separate maintenance activities for preparation of maintenance requests and commencement of work. Establishes and maintains work progress cards for in-process work. Assists in expediting jobs in progress to assure timely accomplishment of projects. Locates and investigates potential or actual sources of production delays and recommends methods for expediting production. Manages the Battalion Army Oil Analysis Program and recommends policies/procedures. Recommends necessary changes in production schedules as required by the increase or decrease of production man-hours available and changes in priorities as directed by a higher authority. Prepares production reports as directed by the Production Control Supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
a. EXPERIENCE:
KGS-7: One year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-6 or equivalent.
KGS-8: One year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-7 or equivalent.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible technical experience in the specialty field in which the duties of the position are to be performed or in closely related lines of work. This experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
b. ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY: 1. The American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT) score of 60 is required. 2. The passing score of former English Language Proficiency Test (A series) may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. 3. The TOEFL score of 450 (or 133 on the computer-based test) or TOEIC score of 550 may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. Applicants must indicate the TOEFL/TOEIC score on the application (item #17) and submit official copies of test scores. TOEFL and TOEIC scores are valid for two years from the exam date. TOEFL scores must be provided to the CHRA-FER from the ETS.
